Open for Signatures: Northeast Regional Fleet Zero-Emission Collaborative

The purpose of this Letter of Collaboration is to establish a cooperative framework among regional fleet operators, government agencies, utilities, and other stakeholders to accelerate the transition to zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) across public and private fleets within the Northeast Region, with a focus on New England, and the states of New York and New Jersey.

Mission Statement

Our collective goal is to help medium- and heavy-duty (M/HD) fleets gain a competitive edge in their industries by:

  • Creating collaborative communities that share knowledge and resources from fleets across the Northeast

  • Sharing real world use cases and experiences from existing fleets

  • Fostering a deeper understanding of zero-emission technologies

  • Unlocking the financial, practical, and other benefits of zero-emission transportation

  • Enabling fleets to meet regulatory requirements and leverage state policies and innovation to their benefit

Through targeted communities that cater to specific fleet types—ranging from last-mile delivery to public transportation—we aim to build a strong network of subject matter experts that accelerates the adoption of zero-emission vehicles, enhances sustainability goals, and positions fleets for long-term success in a rapidly evolving market.

We measure success by the number of zero-emission vehicles placed in service within each community, driving regional competition and growth in the fleet ZEV marketplace.
